HRManager

Laying the foundations for a brand creating a fair workplace for all. 

HRManager is a start up business looking to launch an all-in-one HR management SaaS platform designed for small and medium sized businesses with the vision of empowering employers by providing the tools, support and confidence to competently manage HR in a compliant way. The business is built on delivering real time solutions for real time problems with the end goal of being the facilitator of a fair and safe workplace for both employers and employees.

The Brief

The aim for this project was to create a new visual identity and website for HRManager which would be used to build a solid foundation for the launch of their platform and help the brand carve out their position in an extremely competitive marketplace. It had to showcase HRManager’s values and core belief of creating a fair and safe work environment for both employers and their employees that encourages equality through their commitment to HR and legal compliance.

The Solution

The first challenge was to identify if the world really needed another HR platform. To do this a series of workshops were run to discover the why behind the idea and identify what exactly it was that made HRManager different from all of the other options currently available. The outcome was the emphasis on creating a platform that was built on legal compliance and providing peace of mind to business owners through its extensive range of automated tools ensuring all documentation is up to date and any procedures are being run in the correct manner. 

The Solution

A big element that kept resurfacing during the discovery sessions was that this was a platform that empowers small businesses to understand and own their company HR by giving them the foundations and building blocks to build their HR structure around. This was what inspired the core logo mark with the ‘H’ from the name being created in the negative space of a rotated building block pattern. The aim was to create a mark that was instantly recognisable and stood out from the clichéd HR icons that litter the current marketplace.

Building out the brand

To sit alongside the logo mark the colour palette was a key feature in communicating the brands values. Blues and oranges were used as the core colours as they invoke a sense of trust, dependability and confidence which perfectly align with what HRManager is trying to build amongst workplaces up and down the UK, it was also found out after pitching the concepts that they are the clients favourite colours which always helps! The logo also lends itself nicely to a repeating pattern which looks like the blocks in a wall and nicely ties back in with the idea of building a fair and safe workplace. This creates a nice secondary element to use within the rollout of the brand as it gives the brand another visual component to use alongside the imagery of happy employees or sections of the platform.
