Soke Education Trust

A creative brand to empower our next generation of forward-thinkers.

Soke Education Trust is a Primary focussed school trust based in East Anglia who are looking to grow their trust by inviting more schools to join in the Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire area. The Trust’s principles are based upon core moral leadership which places their learners at the centre of everything that they do. Their ambitions are to sustain high achievement, explore the world we live in and transform the life opportunities

The Brief

The goal for this project was to create a new visual identity for Soke Education Trust to elevate their positioning and reflect their core values. The identity needed to showcase Soke’s beliefs of creating an environment that encourages exploration, forward thinking and collaboration amongst students, teachers and parents. The new brand will be a key tool in attracting new schools to join the trust which will enable them to grow meaning the resources and opportunities they can offer to the students. As part of this identity a new core logo mark, brand fonts, colour palette and secondary branding elements were developed to to accompany the new identity.

The Solution

The solution consisted of a brand new typographic logo mark which has a creative and explorative look and feel to reflect the brands forward-thinking outlook which empowers the children to express themselves. The playful illustrations assist the typography and give a nod to the fact it’s a trust for primary schools. As the trust is aimed at school governors and parents rather than the students themselves the fonts and colour palette needed to balance a certain level of playfulness with professionalism to ensure the right visual message was communicated.
